POSEIDON ROLLS OUT DISCOVERY UPGRADE

Free of charge to existing owners*

As part of our ongoing development programme, Poseidon has identified a number of improvements to our flagship Discovery rebreather.

The upgrade includes breathing hoses, mouthpiece components and tank attachments. If you are an existing owner you can obtain the complete kit free of charge from your Poseidon dealer.

The main element in the upgrade is the four hoses integral to the breathing circuit. Feedback from divers has shown that the original polyurethane spiral could be vulnerable to damage if the unit was mishandled when travelling. The new hoses contain a stainless steel spiral which enhances strength without sacrificing flexibility.

Poseidon resumes wetsuit production

- Three new models complement the suit collection, which now allows diving from the warmest water temperatures to below freezing.

In recent years, Poseidon has developed several models of drysuits. From this season onwards the company will resume production and sales of wetsuits. This means that Poseidon now offers suits for diving in all waters, from the warmest to the absolute coldest.

- Poseidon thus offers a more complete range where recreational divers can find most of their scuba gear, says Mattias Lachner, Global Sales & Marketing Manager for Poseidon. Our thickest drysuit allows for diving in water below freezing. The water can be that cold without freezing possible when the salinity is high enough.

All Poseidon suits constitute an affordable option for the recreational divers who dive in all the waters, ranging from warm tropical waters to the absolute coldest waters.

- With Poseidon's new wetsuits alongside the existing drysuits we now have a suit for everyone, says Mattias Lachner.

The above statement is further reinforced by the size range of the wetsuits; they are available in sizes XS-XXXL.

Poseidon assists in the investigation of a diving accident in Norway.

On Saturday, May 8th, 2010, a diver was found dead at a depth of four meters in Øygarden, northwest of Bergen, Norway. The cause of the accident is still unclear.

According to the Police Department in Bergen the diver was equipped with a Discovery rebreather from Poseidon.

Poseidon is keeping an ongoing dialogue with the Bergen Police Department and has offered to contribute to the investigation into the cause of the accident. If and when the Police so requests, the company will send its experts to Norway to extract and analyse the log files from the equipment's dive computer.

Poseidon will to the extent possible publish its results in the form of a Technical Bulletin on www.poseidon.com
